Grace is one of the most powerful things around us. There are times that we need to give grace and other times we need to receive it.

If you or I have done something that hurts or offends another person, we need to try to repair the damage. We need to seek forgiveness and apologize. Hopefully this is done with a sincere heart and pure intentions.

There are two sides to this scenario. First, we need to seek forgiveness. Second, we need to receive the forgiveness or grace from the offended.

If we don’t receive their forgiveness, it could be that our pride got in the way. When we receive from them, the chains can be loosened and even break. When we hold on to something that we shouldn’t, it could in fact put or keep us in bondage to the chains.

Be honest with yourself. Have you ever said “I’m sorry”, but didn’t really mean it. Make sure that you don’t let your pride get in the way of receiving someone’s kind gesture. Move on, move forward. Don’t let your pride get in the way of receiving grace from someone.
